A Two seat Typhoon from 29 Sqn RAF is seen during its rehersal on the day before the show. Flt Lt Charlie Matthews puts the Typhoon through its paces over the sea at Dawlish. Pulling up! A nice topside. Thankfully the weather picked up for the show day! Showtime!! An AWACS, E-3D from RAF Waddington leads 2 Tornado GR4's from RAF Marham and 2 Tornado F3's from RAF Leuchars, towards Dawlish as part of the RAF's Role Demonstration 2008. The Tornado's break!! Incoming!! Four Tornado's cross! The crowd are thrilled by the RAF. One of the F3's in reheat!! Pulling hard!! F3 fast and low! A break with wings forward. A GR4 in attack profile. Top and Tailed 67's were hired in by First Great Western to work a special shuttle service between Exeter and Newton Abbot throughout the day to cater for the large number of extra passengers. The E-3D flys by! Elements from RAF Leuchars, Marham and Leeming in the finale salute! A Seaking from 771NAS performs for the Dawlish crowd. Running in with the Teignmouth lifeboat. The The Red Arrows were blessed with clear blue sky for their Dawlish display. A rare occurance in the 2008 display season. No wonder the team love Dawlish so much!! Cross! The Syncro pair! Opposing roll! Break! Roll backs! Split! Close pass! Static Helicopter's were available to the public in a field next to the Smuggler's Inn. Here we see the Griffin from RAF Valley about to depart home. Another view of the SARTU Griffin. ZJ239 flown by Flt Lt John Harrison. Up and away! Also present was a new Merlin HC3.A from no 78Sqn based at RAF Benson. Heading for home! A wave from Team Merlin! See you next year!!

A sick 47749 is assisted towards Bodmin General by 47306. 50042 and 37142 storm up the bank from Bodmin Parkway.

Teddy Bears D9520 and D9526 head the 10.05 Bishops Lydeard to Norton Fitzwarren service towards the crossing at Leigh Woods. Green Crompton D6566 passes Woolston with the 10.57 Minehead to Bishops Lyd service. Looking superb in its new green livery is the SDR's D6737, seen here approaching Donniford halt with the 11.50 ex Minehead. Doulbe headed D7523 pilots poorly Warship D832 on the 18.00 Bishops Lydeard to Williton mixed goods service.

The 19th Jan 2007 saw the first visit of a FLHH loco in to the EWS yard at Tavistock Junction, near Plymouth. The train was the first of many for Bardon Aggregates. 43133 heads the 1038 Dawlish-Padd service in spring sunshine on 09-3-2007. 66413 leads 37510 along the Dawlish Sea Wall on 09-3-2007. 47840 Seen at Shaldon Bridge, 47840 heads 5Z70 formed of a rake of FGW Mk3 HST coaches on 26-3-2007. The 26-3-2007 saw the unusual sight of a Class 60 leading a WTT freight train in the West Country. 60055 with 66193 (dit) powers past Cockwood Harbour with 6B99 a St Blazey to A D Junction service. A rare outing in daylight in the southwest for the NR Structure Gauging Train. 31285 leads 31106 past Cockwood Harbour on 1V06 Exeter-Penzance, on 27-3-2007. Seen at Meldon Quarry on 03-4-2007 is the Dartmoor Railways 31465 in Regional Railways livery. Seen outside the Dartmoor Railway workshops at Meldon on 03-4-2007 were 37905 and 37198. On 10th April, 60060 60019 passes Cockwood Harbour, top and tailed with 60060 on 6W73 an engineers service from Westbury to St Blazey on 11-4-07. On 11-4-07, 60019 departs from the loop at Dawlish Warren in fading light at the head of 6W73, a 16.33 Westbury- St Blazey engineers service. On Friday 13th April 2007, 66623 heads north past Restormel in Cornwall at the head of 6Z23 13.43 Burngullow-Plymouth. 47840 passes along the Sea Wall on Saturday 14-4-07 with a rake of Refurbished High Density FGW HST coaches. The train was 5Z72 07.58 Derby to Laira. 43137 is seen just to the north of Dawlish Warren leading the 16.00 Penzance-Paddington service on 19-4-07. 150266 runs alongside the Exe estuary between Dawlish Warren and Starcross on 19th April 2007 with a Paignton-Exmouth service. 66519 trundles past Cockwood on 6Z39 the 13.39 Neath Abbey Wharf to Hackney Yard on 19th-4-2007. On the 19th April 2007, 47840 passes Cockwood on the up on another FGW HST stock move. The train is 5Z70 18.50 Laira to Old Oak Common service. 43009 heads a down FGW along the Sea Wall on 21-4-07. Seen passing along the Dawlish sea wall on 21st April 2007 is a pair of EWS Class 67's. They are at the head of 1Z89, a Hooton to Plymouth charter train. A refurbished 43022 leads the 10.05 Padd-Penzance FGW service past Dawlish on 21-4-07. 158749 is seen just to the south of Cockwood on the 21st April 2007. The train is the 16.20 exmouth-Paignton FGW service. Seen in the up direction, 67026 leads 67023 between Cofton and Cockwood with a return charter from Plymouth to Hooton on 21-4-07. 11-8-07, A GNER set storms along the seawall on a glorious saturday morning. Seen en-route to the SDR is Cotswold Rail's 33202. Speeding past Langstone rock on 11-8-07, this was its last outing on NR infrastructure wearing its old Fragonset paint job. 150249 slows down for a stop at Dawlish Warren on 11-8-07. 43007 leads a full MML HST set on hire to VXC on 11-8-07. Who would have thought all those years back that HST's would become so popular!! A group of photographers perch on Langstone Rock to photograph a GNER set heading North. 11-8-07. 43099 sporting its WIFI advert passes Langstone Rock on 11-8-07. Four Jaguars of 6 Sqn line up on the runway at Al Azraq on 09-9-06. New two-seat Mirage F1DJ, 118 lands at Al Azraq after a test flight on 10-9-06. 231 and 235, A and B models line up at the EOR. About to touchdown is F16B, no 232. Mirage F1CJ, 2515, is passed by a Mirage F1EJ. Two seat Jaguar XX840 taxies back to the ramp after a Desert Cat sortie on 10-9-06. Eurocopter 1412 awaits its VIP passengers.
